Hi
Thought I would do some more checking on my facts about this.
I got this second hand from Alan Freemantle.
We built 5 Phantoms. Graham Caulfield and Tony Kiff also had one. We build all 5, put a number in each and drew lots. I got Saul number 100, can’t remember the others.
Regards
Alan
Still waiting for confirmation about the nationals club.
Regards
Gordon

HI Mr Roberts
looking at past National champs in the information section 1973 shows John Freemantle in boat 98. I was chatting to a Richard Filer and he says John and a couple of others built 3 boats in John Freemantle workshop ( Titchfield I think) which is where he also made coffins and the event was at Hillhead SC. As one of those old enough to likely have been there can you confirm this? Merry Christmas Gordon |

The front page has been updated and further news items will follow in due course. Members of the Association will have now received an email relating to the AGM and a "Virtual Phantom Bubble meeting" on 28th December.
Full dates for events in the coming year are nearly ready but I believe that there may be final event to decide upon. Hopefully when you get your new diary at Christmas you'll be able to fill it with Phantom events! |

Assuming the South West region do not object, I plan to ad Broadwater to the South East series on 23rd October. Thanks to Jeremy for adding the details to the forum. No objections from me - As far as I'm concerned anything we can do to boost numbers at open meetings, and make it more worthwhile for the host club, is a good thing |

Inevitably there seems to be some changes required to my earlier set of dates. These are still being negotiated with the various clubs so please keep a look out on this forum page for the latest information. I have also heard of a potential additional venue/event at Broadstairs. If anybody reading this post is either from Broadstairs SC or can provide more information please can they contact me via the Class Contacts page on the website. Chris 1473 |

Hi Guys
Sorry Lee date is gong to have to change looking like 17th/18th July. 17TH would be club line starts then Sunday Committee boat with the Aero's. Interesting 3rd and 4th July is Lymington Dinghy Regatta would that be something we could use? Maybe as a joint east/ west event? Regards Gordon |

Broadwater is confirmed for 23rd October. All welcome. Shoreham will be good and I will try and do Felpham and Lee too.
