2024 Regional Events
For those who haven’t sailed through the winter, the start of the 2024 season is nearly upon us.
The Regional Representatives have done us proud and pulled together an amazing set of events for 2024 across all our regions.
Starting with:
- Dave Smith in the North, a compact series with some new venues to tempt you all to travel.
- Jim Hopton in the Midlands has produced a six event series, with many of the old favourites including the Inland Championships at Northampton SC in June.
- Jon Rickard our South West rep has selected some stunning locations. Who wouldn’t want to sail on the sea down in the West Country !
- Chris Shelton’s pick for the South East has a combination of three sea and two inland events to test the different skills needed for both.
- Finally Bill Taylor and Warren Martin have worked hard to produce the biggest regional series consisting of seven events, with many of the old favourites in the Eastern Region.
Lots of work in the closed season by our Regional Reps in pulling these series together, so let’s support them all and get the most out of our regional racing. Of course you don’t just have to sail in your own region, racing against other sailors and new venues expands your experience and improves your sailing.
The ‘2024 Super Series’ is made up of one event in each region, needing only three event to qualify, so it’s not that difficult to be our super series champion !
