2025 AGM: Key Points

Summary of key points from the 2025 AGM held at the Plymouth Nationals:

  • 1.

    Class Constitution is being updated to reflect the current aims of the Association. Now only paid-up boat owners can vote and clarification that the manufacturer’s representative shall only advise on build issues.

  • 2.

    A motion was carried with a 2:1 majority (and 2 abstentions) to move to a 4-day (Thur-Sun) 10 race & 2 discard Nationals for 2026 and beyond, with the Committee reserving the right to revert to a 3-day format if it finds that the 4-day format “doesn’t work”.


  • 3.

    The Committee gained unanimous approval to continue discussions with Ovington regarding a refurbishment of the hull mould and the creation of a new deck mould that will have some manufacturing improvements but no performance improvements.

    The 2026 Committee was elected as follows:

    A motion to increase the annual subscription to £35 for 2026 was proposed and unanimously accepted.

    Proposals for Honorary Membership were received and approved by the Committee for Phil Longley, Titch Wayling and Graham Dale-Jones to recognise their dedication and involvement with committee activities over many years.
