Chase Open 2020
« on: November 12, 2019, 10:19:51 AM »

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at trying to get a Phantom Open at Chase SC next in 2020.

Would you guys be interested in adding this to the Midland Travellers? We're looking at sometime in October.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex
Mike  (Harken) is the organiser of the circuit so please liaise with him. However i am sure we will welcome with open arms. The Shustoke open is going to be moved from Sept to (provisionally) 6th June to try to get a bit more interest. Also i think the nationals have slipped to 25th to 27th Sept 2020 so try to avoid being too close to this.
How many active boats have you got?

Cheers
Jim

Hi Jim,

I was thinking around early October, probably the 11th October as we have other meetings on earlier in the year.

We probably have around 6-7 Phantoms and regularly get around 4 out on a weekly basis.

I will try and get hold of Mike then and see what we can do.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,
Thanks for getting in touch and offering up a open meeting at Chase SC. I would very much like to add to the series next year.
I am in the process of looking at venues for 2020 and either extending the events or changing a few from this year.
I presume your club will be flexible on dates?
I will be liaising with the other reps to make sure we avoid clashes etc. and will be in touch once I've got a provisional list together.
I don't think we saw any travellers from Chase this year ??  If you can encourage as many of your fleet to join in next years Midlands travellers please. They are all close by and generally less than an hour.
We definitely lacked people travelling this year and only supported their own event ........ therefore not a 'Traveller' series really !!

Cheers

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the response.

Hopefully having an event will encourage a couple out of the woodwork!

I was hoping for a date around the start of October as this would suit us best.

Just let me know of come dates that we can do, and the other dates of events going on and I will advertise this all over the club :)

Thanks Again,
Alex

Hi All,

Hope you are all well in whatever times these are!

Unfortunately, the club has taken the decision to cancel all open meetings this year, however we do look forward to having the Phantoms back in 2021!

Hi Alex
Thanks for updating on the up and coming Chase Open
To be expected as the same for most clubs until we get back to ‘normal’
Looking forward to a full set of events in 2021 in the Midlands
