« on: January 30, 2019, 10:23:07 AM »

Hi All
Just had a meeting and we have managed to hire from Gosport BC the field above Elmore Car park for camping for the nationals. The club have to pass on what the costs agrred with the council.
£10.50 for vans, campervans and caravans per night
£6.00 for a tent per night.

Cheers

Thanks Gordon. Is it just a pay on the day affair, or do we need to book?

And is there a curfew to access the site, assuming that I try to drive it in one go from bonny Scotland? I'm less young than I was when I climbed the gate at Sunderland...

Hi Jon
Pay on the day and access will depend upon who I entrust with the keys, what sort of time are you thinking it could be?
If your in a campervan just use the carpark below until morning. If its a tent no problem pedestrian access is always open as its a footpath.
Cheers

Thanks Gordon. Unless I win the lottery next month it will definitely be a tent, so I should be fine.

Apparently its only a 9 hour drive, so if I get my shit together and pack the boat up in advance I might even turn up in daylight :)

Hi Maxi
The loos the other side of the dinghy compound should be open and I am working on leaving the changing rooms  but its a bit of a hike. The camping field is just that a field.
