If you could only go to two opens in 2018

Where would be the two venues you would like to sail in 2018.

Mine would be Southwold and Shoreham .

Matt
wont you get nose bleed coming so far south of the M25?
Mine would be Weymouth and Shoreham but any sea venue with breeze or Lake Garda.
Lee on solent excluded as its my home club.

I'm waiting to hear back on a possible open at Southwold.

Excluding my home club and ignoring distance I would say Lyme Regis and probably Hickling.  Different venues each demanding in their own special ways!

.... I would say ... probably Hickling.
Hickling is fine as long as they get rid of all the weed !_!
This year 'herself' took Streaker there and came home after not even completing one race,  .... 'cos it was soooo weeded that racing became a stop-start lottery !
Broads Authority have now cut the main channel, but the edges remain very dodgy.
I understand that club courses through the summer have stuck to the narrowest of channels.

Hear-hear !
FFSC was used at recent RYA Conference as exemplar of a club increasing its membership by ~20% .... well-done !
• I'd be very happy with FFSC 'cos it's so relatively close.
• Salcombe MUST be good if the Merlins keep on returning in the numbers that they do !_!

Weymouth / Lyme as both glamour ...........

But not counting those two I really enjoy Lee and we have had some splendid racing there and oddly enough I really enjoyed Downs this year. If Chris reserves me a decent sledge next year not designed for a topper I'll go back. The club were super friendly and the sailing was epic.

Salcombe is looking forward to seeing the Phantom fleet in all its glory, as I posted else where on the forum we now number five active boats, sailing upto Christmas to get enough practice to compete against you guys.
All I need to do is to try and master this complicated forum site! :)
