Dear all and especially those in the southen circuit,

I did mention this event a while ago and think it worthy of mentioning again.  This was a great laugh last year and good in a Phantom.
We have at least three teams so far and it has the added benefit of being able to socialise for half the race and cheer on your opposite number.
Teams consist of two persons so only one boat needed although you may be able to join the club racing on the Sunday.
Camping on site and social on the Saturday evening.

Well worth the effort and some good teams to beat. If you are interested I will happily coordinate teams.

Westom and I to beat!  (Team slap it and wobble)!  Thats his head and my belly but not at the sametime. Bigmike set the fastest lap last year!

I'm teaming up with Mike this year.  Been thinking that team 40-40 would be a good name for us as its almost certainly his inside leg and my waist measurements!!

Seriously though guys this will be the third year i have done this race now.  Last year in my 300 and the year before in an Assy Canoe (lets not talk about that)  In fact the canoe is back this year, and the lad sailing it is doing the whole 6hours on his tod!!!!

Simon re-reading the notification on the front page, it mentions we can join in the club racing on Sunday.  Does that mean there will not be a Phantom Event on the Sunday?  Not a problem if not as i will shoot on up to Blithfield on the Sunday (got to use the passes while i have them!

Hi Russ,
No the Sunday thing is not a Phantom open meeting.

Mike mentioned it and I think it still stands but there is not the level of support to make it a counting event.

It does however give the chance to discuss things and put them in to practice for those that wanted training as we have been unable to arrange a training date so far.

Great event, again!  Very close racing for most of the 6 hours! Stupid amounts of Mount Gay rum consumed!
