Hi there, I'm new to the forum and will be looking to join shortly. Having only started sailing this summer I am now the owner of a wooden phantom.

I know very little about it apart from it's original sail number is 828. Is there anywhere I could find a little bit more information about the boat?
It's currently at Bowmoor Sailing Club where it and I will be taking part in some club racing. Anyway, I'm sure I'll be posting more with some questions once I get it back on the water.

Looks very nice Indeed. I love the padded side-decks!
That sail number corresponds to a build date around 1980/81 I believe.
Your superspars mast will be fairly stiff. When the wind gets up, don't be afraid to let off the forestay and rake the mast back, plus plenty of kicker to bend the mast, thus flattening the sail.
Great to see more woodies in action. Enjoy!

Thanks for the pointers and rough build date Neil 758. I'll give that a go when the wind picks up.
