Title: Castle Cove Open (Weymouth Dinghy Regatta) July 3rd / 4th.

The Phantoms will be competing in the Fast Handicap Fleet at Weymouth Regatta this year.
Racing will be out in Weymouth Bay on both days unless conditions dictate otherwise, in which case we'll be in Portland Harbour.

Entries have to be submitted prior to the event via an online registration site at http://www.weymouthregatta.co.uk/
Payment is not required at the time of registration. All details are on the Regatta website.

Total entry for the Regatta may be limited, early registration is recommended.

Thanks Ian, it's nice to see that Highcliffe still haunts me years later  :'( It was strange being beaten by you....................... and everyone else  :D

The sand must have invaded your brain Nick...I didn't sail at Highcliffe, I only put your sail on the for sale board...:)

Update...

I've just been on the site and it says they are all but full.  The online entry is closed and they are taking details by email in case they can arrange more saftey cover, and increase numbers.

Latest update is that the few remaining places will be offered first to Slow Handicap and OK dinghies.
With just the three Phantoms entered and no likelyhood of further entries we have decided to remove the event as a round for the Southern Series.

If there is sufficient interest in 2011 I'll request full Open Meeting status.
