The Eastern Series moves on apace with the second fixture of the season.

****************Rollesby Open Sunday 5th April 2009*************

Racing kicks off at 10.45 with four races, three to count, and only £5 entry fee.

Directions are on www.RBSC.org.uk or as in previous years follow the trail of essex boys from the A140.

Rumors are circulating of a comeback race for a previous eastern series competitor

Any problems, hints, tips, or requests for assistance then please do not hesitate to PM me.

We are sharing the water with our Spring Regatta so if anyone has family that wish to sail another boat then they can get some racing in.

Unfortunatly club landlords have no camping policy (and we have application for new clubhouse in with them at there expense!) so best I can offer is my drive near Norwich. (Own accomodation is advised due to number of small loud offspring presently competing for nocturnal attendence)

I have a sick car - will only drive in "emergency mode" - which is v slow - adding boat etc will probably mean very little forward motion - so I will not be making Sunday.  Just hoping that repairs are'nt too scary - lots of talk of blown turbos, catalytic converter failure and exhaust gas recirculation problems - gulp!!!!

Thank you Daren and all at Rollsby S.C . a great day of really tight racing, my first vist due to always being on holiday in past years , but really enjoyed it and look forward to returning next year

Thanks Daren & the RBSC team. A glorious day to be on the water, unfortunate that the wind was across the broad cutting down the options.
It does show that the start & the first leg are the most important part of a race, even if it is a run & takes less than a minute!!!
Just got Hunts to go before we get back on the briney as Southwold!

Thanks to Daren and all at Rollesby.. an entertaining days yotting despite the lack of breeze.. definitely more like nautical snakes n ladders... a fine line between getting it right and oh so horribly wrong! And those starts/first mark roundings in the afternoon certainly gave an opportinity to test Rule 18!
