Hi chaps,

Here are the events and dates for next years Eastern Series.  There are a number of points to be clarified such as number of events to qualify (half plus one) , special prizes (first Phantom Open? Classic?), and so on.

Bewl Valley SC                              20th April
Wells-next-the-Sea SC                     10th / 11th May
Gt Yarmouth & Gorleston SC                 25th May
Stone SC                                          14th / 15th June
Rollesby Broad SC                              29th June
Creeksea SC                              19th / 20th July
Southwold SC                              August bank holiday
Minnis Bay SC                              20th / 21st September
Hickling Broad SC                              11th / 12th October

Please note that Stone and Creeksea are Super Series Events.

If you are reading this and thinking of joining the growing fleet please do get in touch or visit one of the events to meet us.

Plans for Southwold are being finalised, most likely it will be a similar format to Felixstowe last year, a 2 day open on Saturday and Sunday with the option for those keen enough to race on Monday as well, it is being held in conjunction with the javelin Nationals and they will be racing all 3 days. There was also some mention of having a training day on the Saturday.

Why miss Denver? Great early season tacking practice!!!

Great job again Chris, looking forward to it already.  ;D

·   Final event & prizegiving at last event Hickling Broad 11th /12th October.

I shall try and put together a contact list for each event but basically go to each club website or watch the forum for up-to-date news.

As I doubt that I can get a pass for all events would all club reps please send me full results and ensure that reports are written to all and sundry...I have found that most local papers will also respond to advance notice and pictures of events hint hint..

Big thanks to Rod from Tempera-tech for sponsoring us overall and to all the individual event sponsors

See you around

Well done Chris,

Can you get an article on this with some sponsors logos written up for the next Phanmail - due in March.

Series sponsors are entitled to their logo / weblink on the Phantom website for free if you would let them know

See you at Denver

Send the logo and link to me Chris and I will post on the website.

When writing reports can you make sure that they are copied to Simon and me so that at least one of us will get them onto the website.

For the overall results please send them to me in html format (preferably as created by sailwave) and I will keep them posted on the site from the front page. Its only right that all of the series get their results on the site.

Cheers
