Apparently its OK to stop overnight in the car park with Motorhomes / Campers, visitors frequently do so, just make sure you buy the 24hr day ticket @ £15,,,, Titch :-*

Just to confirm there is not tenting option.

Either camper van in the car park or local B&B/ Airbnb/ hotel/ static traveller house etc

Hello John  et al

just called Meadowbank and they don't allow tents - the prop said nearest campsite that allows tents is maybe 45 mins away the other side of Ringwood

could Highcliffe SC be asked to provide definite camping options ??

thanks

last time out we camped in the grounds of the scout hut, about 1.2 miles away, £5 a night. Do they still offer that? I think that the guy at the club at the time, Nick someone or other (phantom sailor) probably organised it. The location is https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/106+Stanpit,+Christchurch+BH23+3ND/@50.7311038,-1.7572882,160m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x48739c184d43eec3:0xbf7552a43163a324!8m2!3d50.7311038!4d-1.7565599

They have and they don't offer anything. Local tenting isn't really an option

As previously mentioned options generally are, either a caravan/ chalet on the static site - two options of either the official 'owners' which is only available Friday to Monday or through the private booking type letting which can be tailored to your exact dates - local hotels/ B&B, AirBnB houses - if you can get a few together works our about £550 -750 for a 2/3 bed house that sleeps 6 in 'walking' distance for 4 nights -, or campervans in the public car park

Accommodation booked and entry paid.
May vamp on Thursday night(or go and annoy my Mother In Law who lives about 10 miles away) but have booked Waters edge for the other two Nights.
All sorted. Weymouth July, Downs August.

Dissapointed there's no camping,  (can we try and ensure future venues have camping on site or at least near by?) but I've  booked the Water's Edge too, looks to be within walking distance of the club.  Just got to enter now!  and sort out the boat, get a new sail....

Neil,
It's usually the main criteria when selecting a venue.

Camping is high on the list when choosing a venue, but not the main criteria.

If it was we wouldn't be going to Lyme Regis and every nationals would be at Stone  :-\
