Title: Camping at the Nats
Post by: maxibuddah on February 23, 2010, 07:40:58 PM
Is there camping on-site again like last time, and will it be first come first served, or can we put our names down for a patch of grass? If so can I have mine away from where Will fell over - it sounded llike an earthquake

There is room for tents in the club grounds, its on a first come first served basis.

I will have a word to see if we can 'allocate' a space with early entries  :)

I suspect there will be quite a lot of "Falling Down" being done  :D ;)

I plan to be there on Wednesday Evening so I get my spot in the "car park" so the "Sundance Bar" is level, wouldn't wan't anything spilt  :o

1st falling down training will be Wednesday evening :P

For anyone else turning up early, there is club racing on the Thursday night and the bar will be open so you are more than welcome to join in.  ;D

Before anyone asks, thats welcome to join in the bar or the sailing or both!  ;)

Can I join you on Thursday evening Titch for some falling down juice? Also do you want me to bring that real falling down juice again???

Phil, I would love a camping spot just behind the changing rooms but am worried that with Titch turning up with the Sundance Bar on Wednesday that all the spaces will go as everyone who is anyone will want to be there to share a beverage with him. With a young family I can't get there any earlier...sob, sob, sob,  :'(

Phil.
Please book me in for a camping space also. I expect Jez will want the next tent since he appreciates my snoring. If Simon is the other side he will have stereo again. :D

I was actually about to reply! And request a spot away from the snoring and the tree with the blackbird!!

I suspect the fairest way to allocate camping spaces will be to encourage early entry form returns! As for the promenade dinghy park spaces at Lllandudno last year.

The blackbird's gonna get it this year.

got to be better than the hordes of bloody rooks at Northampton, or the whole of the midlands dawn chorus at Draycote - one bird, is that it? Or am I just tempting fate. Surely can't be as bad as Mike Beloe's, Roger Battersby's & Rob West's snoring like last time? That sounded like the doors of hell being opened by a very large uphappy doom monster dragging its arse over a lake full of timpany drums whilst being amplified by the whole of the set of the Monsters Of Rock on the loudest setting.

If they are there, which I doubt it, move your tent to the middle of the estuary, its quieter though slightly damper, unless of course you are Al Husk when you get woken up by B&L singing swing low at the top of his voice at 1 in the morning.

I can't wait, I'm sure something must go wrong before then...I want to go to the nats and camp!! ;D

 :o

 ;D

There is one way to avoid the early birds/ snoring - bat on through and don't bother going to sleep  ;D

Requests for camping noted, however i think it will be based on early entries. Will chase Mr Fulcher to organise entry forms etc  :)

OK, This is the plan ;D

You will be allocated a "Camping" spot by your "Tally No." so the earlier you get your entry in the more chance of piece of Grass to pitch on :o

Entries will be released from 12 Noon, 6th March both at the dinghy show and "On-line" ;) ;)

Entry forms coming in thick n fast... ;D

Looks like we have about 25 Camping places depending on tent size ???

So if you need a spot get your form in quickly :-\

Don't forget we also have spots in members houses available  too ;)
