Tacking and rudders
« on: October 29, 2019, 09:17:37 AM »

Hi All
I seem to remember Nick Craig reckoned you over steered if you took the tiller through the front so he tacked with the extension round the back. How do people tack?
This might effect this how long are peoples extensions and tillers from the inside of the transom bar?

Take mine through the front Gordon but try to make sure that I don't push it further across than about 45 degrees if I can help it. My extension is about 1200mm but I have to stretch a little when fully hiked out, but then again its not too much when I'm back in the boat reaching
