A special invitation for Phantom sailors - to join in with the winter sailing programme at Leigh and Lowton SC.
The LLSC winter series is a major event in the dinghy sailing calendar and attracts a lot of really good sailors from far and wide. It truly is a sight to behold, with 50 to 80 boats on the water – which really sharpens your boat handling skills and your knowledge of the rules (Which tack is that boat on? Is that the give-way boat?)
There’s sailing every weekend and we are targeting a few key weekends to boost the Phantom fleet, starting with 9 November and 30 November. It’ll be a great way to get some practice on Pennington Flash before the Phantom North 2015 Championships on 11th and 12th April.
From 9th November 2014 to Christmas is the “Revett” series and from the New Year until mid March is the “Tipsy Icicle” series. For more information follow this link
http://www.llsc.org.uk/1/ . I think there is a deal with the entry fee, so you can leave your boat at the club for the whole series (saves taking it home!) There’s hot food for lunch and it’s really good value too.
