Ovington Inlands - 8&9 November
« on: September 30, 2014, 04:36:54 PM »

This is the last 'Official' event of the year so it would be great to attend in force.

The NoR and SI's will be posted on the Homepage soon but the basics are:-

Multi fleet event comprising the boats Ovington produce so there will be 29ers, 49ers, 49 FX, Musto's, VX One, F15 etc.

Sat 8 Nov
4 races starting at 11.33

I'll put something up about options for Saturday night next week

Sunday
2 races starting at 11.03

Cost - £29 (£3 for GWSC members)
You can enter on the day

There was quite a few people at the Nats saying that they would be there so please post here if you are going to (or thinking of) attending.

Cheers
Ian

I would suggest that you start 3 mins after the gun but I guess I might have just about finished my turns by then and be in your way again....

Is this the actual inlands for us then?
I thought the inlands had already been sailed?

Its the 1st year of the Ovington Inlands which the Phantom will have attended now Ovington are officially our builder, which we will adopt as our inlands next year?!, but looking to make a big impact with the other Ovington built boats!!

Olly

This event is the Ovington Inlands rather than our Inlands but that's not to say that it won't/ can't be both in the future.

Being at the end of November would mean that its not competing with other events but is it too late in the year? It raises all sorts of questions so was planning on reviewing things depending on how many come this year.

So far if everybody comes that says they will we be should be at least 14 of us.

Cheers

Make that 15 Ian.

I'm a bit worried about Titches comment about making an impact on the other Ovington boats though....is it compulsory to ram them?

I have also vowed to ensure that my starts don't involve last minute pirouettes and Gordon's masthead (or for that matter Simon Hawkes's...).  Surely, I can't do that trick three times can I ???
