Too many sailing events is just Diluting the attendance at our Class Association Events, a suggestion would be to partner and make these events part of the Associations programme, but this does mean comunicating with the Class, stealing website space without even a discussion to advertise your programme is a bit Cheeky? :o

Can we have some liason next year?

Why not just delete it?
Cheeky is an understatement for this marketing blurb.

I nearly did.... >:(

But..... ::)

Getting Phantoms to be seen in the wider audience is one of things we should be doing, the fact we got severly let down and were miss sold a previous event does not mean we won't go back but I do expect these event organisers to make contact with the Secretary or Chairman, we might then look at rolling some of our travelling events into these bigger regattas.

Communication is not a stong point obviously... :-\

Don't worry about it too much Titch: in my mind the position is simple. They either coordinate with the class(es) in which case a fair few Phantoms turn up for a "race within a race" or they don't and nobody goes. I personally don't see much point in travelling for a handicap event - unless of course there are enough boats of the same class to race against.

On the plus side, a Phantom sailor won one of the GPS Garmin cameras they were giving away.

Take more than giving away a camera to build the bridge they burnt with me last year.

That said it's for them to start the communication off if they want support from the Class and suggest they start with the Events Secretary.  Get him on side and it's easy street...

Cheers
