Brass Monkey - Yorkshire Dales
« on: December 12, 2012, 11:38:26 AM »

Hi,

We just need one more entry to the Brass Monkey at Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club event an we get our own fleet prizes!

This event is a "hoot" - last year they handed out sherry and mince pies as you came off the water! Nice place to sail, with a big water, high up in the hills, so it catches the wind! As someone said about the club changing rooms - underfloor heating - very nice for cold tootsies.

One more Phantom entry and it will raise the profile of the Phantom fleet higher, and we get a mention in the press reports too. You'll have to move quickly as entries are limited and there are only about 12 places left. Follow this link

It's a great way to exercise after Christmas, try out those new sailing boots from Santa, or just to escape from the home mayhem. Nice part of the country to stay - Dales, walks, views, sheep...

Merry Christmas and happy new sailing gloves to all Phantom sailors.

What do you want sailing boots for when you can wear trainers hey Ollie. Look forward to seeing you there, I'm already signed up. Are you doing any of the other Sailjuice events?

Online entries are now closed as they're up to the 100 boat limit. Only know cos a mate's been waiting for his new Supernova to be delivered before booking on and now it's arrived he can't (even though his son IS sailing!!) you'll need to email Yorks Dales direct to see if they can fit you in - it's a 120 boat limit with 20 reserved for York Dales members and they're currently taking up some of the 105 entries!

Yes!!

We have a fleet!!

Phantoms are the third largest fleet, just behind the Lasers and RS 200's -  a very respectable position. And after all that Christmas pudding, we may be able to convert a few Laser sailors over to Phantoms!!

Also I understand that the land/support crew can walk around the water - to pass the time (and keep warm!).

Thanks for the comments about the sailing boots - not my natural territory!
