Supporting the RNLI
« on: October 16, 2012, 01:29:55 PM »

It's a bit of fun and it's for a worthy cause.......why not?

Every year Rotherham Sailing Club hosts an Open Meeting to raise funds for the RNLI. We don't charge a lot for entry - £3 for single handers PLUS a donation of your choice to the RNLI. Prizes are Christmas Puddings and everyone who takes part wins one of some description! This year it's on Sunday 28th October, with the first race being at 11am

Just to be aware, there will be no galley on the day (except tea and coffee etc) so bring a packed lunch.

Have to be honest RSC isn't a great water for Phantoms (in fact tends to be dominated by Streakers and Lasers) but the event is all about raising money for the RNLI and if you are the competitive type we have some very good Streaker sailors at Rotherham for you to pit your wits against.

It'd be good to see one or two of you there, if only so I've got another Phantom to race against!!!
