When I checked all the Dinghy Week entries last weekend there were 12 phantoms entered. I know now that there are another 2 to enter plus the one from Olly's club. We could be one of the bigger singlehanded fleets this year. Wouldn't it be great to have more phantoms than Lasers or Solos !
There are more entries to date this year than last, which bodes well for a great week on and off the water. SCYC have put a request in for a sunny week with F3-4 winds, lets hope that it happens.

Is there a way of checking the entries online?
Anyone up for a few beers (or just the one for the lightweights mr tickle) in tuddies or the yacht club sat night.

I wish we could check online, but no. I shall raise the question next time I speak with the organisers   It was a case of going through every paper entry form sat in the club last time I was down there.
I've been told of another phantom today, so I think we are up to 15 now

Its fourteen days to ADW tomorrow, I've been told about another phantom attending. That should bring us up to 16 boats on the start line.  We will have a class start.  It will be nice not to be the first fleet off.....time to check boat and maybe a bacon butty before launching.
The social program has been post on the Y & Ying online page.
The solo class always have a class drink together, maybe we need to think about the same.

ADW has started,  yesterday was hot with blue sky and lightish winds for unloading boats. Over 200 entries. 14 phantom entries. Today blue sky and F5 winds gusts of 40mph recorded. But true Northerners we went out to play on reasonably sized waves.
The "larger" gents led around.  1st Jez Entwhistle    2nd Mike Webster.  3rd. Ian Middleton    Sorry can't remember any more results.
The forecast is for stronger winds tomorrow then reducing Tuesday onwards.

No racing today. Stronger winds and 45mph gusts
Laurel and Hardy were seen walking down the beach, wearing hikers.
