Might clear my head nicely! ;D

Encouraging to hear a skinny looking forward to a breeze.

See you there, although on current form that will be a Force 1 1/2 by the time we get there.

XC weather has 53mph Gust forecast for most of Saturday, and a mere 39-40 mph on Sunday...

Hope this moderates a little by the weekend

Well, simply on the basis I can't do any worse (and that I have a pass for the weekend) I am going to come with my ironing board cover sail and see if I can beat the year 5 kids in their Oppies...I might even be brave eough to speak to someone! The only conversation I had at Northampton last weekend was about shower temparatures! Oh, and to thank the Merlin team for helping push my car off the snot I was parked on.  (had to be a bloody Merlin , didn't it?).

Hopefully I can redeem myself and do the boat justice. ::)

Hi does anyone know what handicap we are sailing off at this event?

Looks like the forecast has become sailable now and about 10 Phantoms pre entered.

Well, I'd rather have one 'DNF' than a row of 'DNS'.  The most wind I've ever sailed in - very exiting but near impossible to sail down wind! Still useful experience.  Nothing broken.  Back at the gym this morning...bit bruised...

Good to put faces to names rather than just sail numbers.

Tiger Trophy -   Capsized about 15 times and lost my compass but did finish race 1 and 2. Had a bad capzise in race 3 and called it a day. Coastbuster seemed to be looking forward to Sunday even though it was 9 knots more than saturday which was worrying......

Although I lost my compass the boats still ok.  Looking forward to the winters!!

On another note they sailed us on 1017 but didnt change the Merlin handicap that was a joke.

Hi
Well done all who took part, it does seem odd this adjusting just our handicap and leaving the merlin etc alone.
I would have thought the Merlin has had as many complaints about its handicap as the Phantom.
Simon were the ibuprofen required because of the  seats in your new car?
