Blithfield Barrel

Hi,

I am planning to attend this on Sunday (Providing I can get my boat due to the weather)- any other Phantom sailors going?

Race times are 12pm and 2pm

Has any one sean what they have done to the phantom py at this event. The merlin shuld sail off 1006 and its been droped to 1000. Phantom 1035 and droped to 1020. Think thats not right or fair. Seems to be a club that dose not like the Phantom fleet to me. Was thinking of going, But for that im out.

Yes - last year they put us on 1030 and it was hard to beat a lot of the Merlins who then sailed on 1000.  I think they dont want a Phantom to win.  I still plan to go as only live 30min away if the lakes not frozen.

On another point I always get called a handicap bandit, when the Merlin is far worse than ours and it favours in all conditions.

@ club level my handicap has dropped to 1015 for 2011.

Is that personal or general racing.  I should imagine your personal handicap is just above that of a welll sailed foiling Moth.

Good to see you out and active again mate.  You up for the Global I see?

Tried a CC16+ today. Different material but seems to tick the boxes.  Looking forward to the coming events.
