Sorry I cant be there because it is a significant birthday for my lovely wife.
Amazingly for someone as keen as me , think of the worst torture you can imagine, multiply it by a million, have any and all privelidges removed for ever, even made thin by eating and drinking normally, and that is the prospect I face if I attend!

Hmmmm.  No it is very unlikely.

Plan is 'yes' from me (1185); double-trailer with Phantom for me & Streaker for my Veronica. Of course, XCWeather will be final arbitrator .......

I doubt you will be able to pay anyone to streak if the temperatures are similar to now.  And if you could I think the effect might be lost somewhat!

I am not sure Veronica would appreciate it?

Well, its about 18:00 Thursday 30th, and it must be about deadline-time for entries to the Grafham GP.
Phantoms, with 13-boats are the Biggest Class Entry, YooHooo 
...... and with 38-boats the single-handers are the largest fleet within the 115 entry-list.

They 'say' that the ice there has (been- ?) cleared, but its forecast for -2deg on Sunday forenoon, again 
Lucky me, got a new base-layer for Christmas, and what did I get for Veronica ?  A new base-layer as well, of course !
Back home, at Oulton Broad we're still truly Iced-In, with little hope of clearing for this week-end ...... that'll be the 3rd iced week-end on the trot, and the one before that we had to break our way through

Wow, what an entry at such a cold time of year - Isnt it nice of Grafham to arrange a Phantom open and allow other boats to join in too 

Jez - While Grafham are normally excellent with getting results onto their website just to make sure you I will ask for a paper copy on the day.
