Alton Water Winter Racing
« on: October 28, 2010, 02:09:14 PM »

For anyone who's not already aware and fancies some winter yotting. There will be a fleet of Phantoms racing at Alton Water throughout the winter.

The winter series started last weekend and runs until December 18th, and the frostbite series is 3rd Jan to 28th Feb. Morning and afternoon races. Full series or pay per day available.

We get our own start, only 5 boats on the line last week, but thats expected to double this week.

I've probably just put this in the wrong section!  :-\

A few more boats this week, not all of them on the same line!  ;)

And another game of chase Jarvey round the lake!

Should have some Blaze converts soon, when they realise even with a 3 minute headstart we finish in front of them!

Jez,

Is that a 3 minute head start for a blaze, 10 boat lengths for a senior member of the phantom class, its begining to sound like a new hadicap system.....oh well, phantoms get given any old hadicap..... ??? ??? ???

OK! hoping to drag the boat down this weekend, just need to placate the wife as the new boat was her 50th birthday present, He He!
Seriously though I am looking forward to meeting this new Mr Harvey who is on the Alton website as winning the first few races, good to hear of a new superstar amongst us!

Well done Mr House, see the boats going well, hope to follow you around at the weekend.
