Nationals boat parking etc
« on: September 03, 2012, 09:33:17 AM »

Is there any specific info on boat parking etc at Sunderland? I'm aiming to be there Thursday afternoon

Do we just pitch up and find a spot in the dinghy park or do we have a specific area?

Is there a locked gate or anything?

Can we park next to the boat with a car while we rig?

Is the bar open Thursday afternoon?

Thanks

Phil

From speaking to the guys at the club they are sorting the club compund out for the phantoms, so just rock up and someone will advise where to park your boat.
Yes its at locked compund so the boats are safe, but as for parking next to the boat while rigging this inst possible, there is a public car park right next to the club for cars etc and is allocated to the phantom nationals, park closest to the club.
As for the bar, i think it is going to be open as the class is doing some training, so hopefully bar and galley will be open.  I will check.

Hope this helps, if your stuck give me a shout, 07743090449. its my old club.

Cheers for the reply Paul.

Not too bothered about the safety of the dinghy park, just wanted to avoid a faf getting in  :)

I'll dump the boat and park the car at the B&B up the road.

I will also be collecting the boat Monday morning.

 :)
