Hi to all Phantom sailors,

Just two weeks to go until the Phantom Open at Crosby SC on Sunday 12 October 2014 – the last event of the Phantom North 2014 series, sponsored by Standards Plus Ltd  ( www.standardsplus.co.uk ).

Crosby is an interesting place to sail – a marine lake just behind the sand dunes, so we get Westerly sea breezes with flat water which is great for speed. Crosby SC ( http://crosbysailingclub.com/ ) is quite easy to find, postcode L22 1RR, in north Liverpool and is close to the main roads. The changing facilities are modern, clean and warm.

For the land crew, the are walks around the marine lake, along the Coastal Park, the dunes for your dog and Andrew Gormley’s “Another Place” statues in the sea (oops, I went a bit arty there..!)

This is the last event of the Phantom North 2014 series so a good turnout would be the icing on the cake. We’ve had some really good events this year and I’d like to thank all who have taken the time to travel and make the events good fun. The average attendance has been 10 boats which is credible.

There will also be the series prize giving and, as they say, “It’s not over until the final curtain”. It would be really great to see you for this event.
