Dear Phantom Sailors,
It’s just 10 days to go until one of the most well attended events in the Phantom North calendar – the Blithfield Open on Sunday 6th July 2014. We often get 20 boats at this event as it’s the Midlands –v- North “battle ground”.
Blithfield is a really nice place to sail, with a good breeze and sunshine (well, it was last year!!). For information about the club follow this link

The results for this season so far can be found on the forum, where there’s a link to a Facebook page (but I’ve no idea what that means...!). There’s currently a clear leader (Ed Thomas) and some close competition for second place with just three points separating the next three places. So there’s everything to play for....
If you are new to Phantom sailing and would like to have some class racing, then Blithfield SC is the place to be on 6th July. If you are not too sure about Open events, then give this one a try as there’ll be plenty of banter and even more encouragement for the newcomers.
This event is a combined open with the Solutions, so the number of visitors will be high – so get there early. Hope to see you there.
