Hi to all Phantom sailors,

The Filey SC Regatta is an Open event for all dinghies and we joining in for the 5th round of the Phantom North 2014 series, sponsored by http://www.standardsplus.co.uk/ . This is a two day event on Saturday and Sunday 21st and 22nd June 2014 and directions to the club are on their website - http://www.fileysc.co.uk/index.php . I think camping is available but please check with the club first.

This event should appeal to Phantom sailors in Yorkshire, the North East and anybody who likes two day events! This is our first visit to Filey for a number of years and is one of our events on the sea – so pond sailors prepare! This is a really nice venue on the Yorkshire coast, which is spectacular when the sun shines!

Also, I believe, if there are 6 Phantoms or more, we get our own start, so let’s hope for 15 to 20 boats on the water. Hope to see you there.

Great sailing yesterday at Filey in the end.

Saturday only one race as it was drifting conditions and we were going backwards with the tide at times .  Sunday looked like it was going to be the same but we got out at 1pm and had 2 good races back to back in F3 sea breeze. 7 phantoms entered and good to see some new faces. First place went to Craig Raistrick.
