Hi to all Phantom Sailors,

Round three of the Phantom North 2014 series, sponsored by www.standardsplus.co.uk , takes place on Saturday 26 April at Delph SC. Delph has about half a dozen local Phantom sailors, so with some visitors the turnout should be good.

Delph is just north of Bolton and often "catches the breeze" as the wind passes over the reservoir wall - always good fun. The locals are welcoming and the club is easy to find, follow this link http://www.delphsailingclub.moonfruit.com/  Looks like the first race is at 11.00 hrs.

If you you're new to Phantoms, then give this event a try. There'll be plenty of advice and there's always a "bit o' banter" between sailors. Hope to see you there. Post a reply to this topic if you're thinking of coming along.

The weather forecast is for force 2 gusting to force 4 from the south east – so the wind comes up the valley and over the dam wall – sounds like fun!! Expect temperatures around 12 oC.

The good thing about Delph is that they like to have their Open meeting on a Saturday – which means that you get two days of sailing this weekend and you can still compete in the normal Sunday sailing at your own club. Talk about having your cake and eating it! (Now that should draw in the crowds.)
