Is anyone planning to go to Morecambe & Heysham's Open on 18th/19th Sept?
I'll be going for a bit of nostalgia (I was a member there till I moved home because of work) and some sea air. They usually have at least one cross-bay race over the weekend which is always good fun!

Stop Press - I've just had an email from one of the organisers. There'll be a class prize for any class with four or more entrants on the day.

Hi - they've just posted the details on their homepage www.mhyc.co.uk

I've emailed them asking what the criteria are for class prizes (it was 5 boats when I was a member there but I thought I'd best check).

The Clubhouse will be open from 09.00 am on Saturday for Food, Entry Application etc. Entry Fee - £25 including Entry to Saturday’s Social Including Food.
We expect there to be four races and the first race start on Saturday will be at 12.45 pm with one long distance Cross Bay race, if possible. A briefing will be given at the race office before racing starts.
