Bough Beech Open
« on: February 27, 2015, 08:27:23 AM »

All

Bough Beech has it's annual one day open on 7th March

It's an event shared with Contenders and Streakers and has always been a great start to the season.

It would be great for the club to get an idea of likely numbers

Any likely takers ?

Hi Rich - it's listed under Open Events/Eastern Travellers.  Matthew House says he's going, & a few on the RYA stand yesterday were suggesting they would be, & all things being equal - I should be there to mop up the stragglers (no wait, I am the straggler!)

Oh dear...  Coming from sailing on ponds, fresh water tends to equal cold water!  ;)  Can you flick the heating on in advance for me?

Rich

Will be there (obviously).

essexbloke - don't worry about being a straggler. After a couple of months of physio on my foot I will be taking it more than easy and have prebooked my usual place in the results table!

Looking forward to it.

Having 'tested' the water at a gybe mark on Sunday I can confirm that any cooler water must have been concentrated at that location - the rest of the lake is no doubt balmy

I thought it was common knowledge. We are all so righteous at BBSC the sun always shines and the water always nice for a dip.

Looking like a good turn out

Perfect weather forecast - sun, 12 - 15 knots and up to 13 degrees - like last year !

Wind direction even better this time though
