Thanks Ian,
A stonking weekend, Jim Hunt was excellent, both in the training on saturday and then showing us how it should be done on sunday!

Thanks to all at Alton.

By the way, doesnt James Jarveys new boat look the business!, certainly makes sense for all us knee sufferers!!

The little bunch from Walton and Frinton had a great weekend, thanks again

Many thanks to Windy & the team at Alton, once again a terrific Eastern season opener.
A big thankyou to Jim Hunt for a superb training day, and my apologies once again for my cider fuelled faux pas ( def. A socially awkward or tactless act), when I casually asked  if he had tried sailing an OK? Sorry Jim, you handled  it really well!
Good to catch up with everyone again, and plan to be at Up River  next weekend.

Well, that explains the mystery of "where's Ben??"
Other mystery for me is who is this James Harvey bloke?  Seems to go quite well in a new boat...

Results are here.

Good to meet you all this weekend. - a chance to put some faces to forum names, sail numbers or boat names.

I've learnt a lot too - thanks to Jim and all who offered advice.  For me, the main job is now to move all my cleats to the foredack - I simply can't faff with the little bits of string on the side deck any longer!  Then I'll be able to dump the kicker for all my tacks and not end up clowning around in the bottom of the boat or dening up with it on its ear!.  I must have made it look more like a Level 2 course at times ::)

Anyhow.  Where were the woodies? am I to take home a different article of head wear each time I turn up fpr an event? When the results are posted, you will see that it wasn't a case of the wood coming last this time.... ;)

Regards to All
