Alton Water Open (Training day with Jim Hunt)
« on: March 07, 2011, 08:06:39 PM »

Hi All

Well with the Dinghy Show now a distant memory thoughts have turned to the start of the Eastern Series 2011. ;D

Jim Hunt has kindly agreed to lead the training day on the Saturday, the pub is booked for Saturday evening, Motorhome and camping space is available on site, and the pub in walking distance.

Entry details can be found on the centre website:

http://www.altonwater.co.uk/index.php?pid=165

To assist in planning it would be extremely helpful if you can indicate if you are attending and if space is required for a motorhome, it will also help with arranging catering etc.

There will also be an opportunity to get sails / boats measured.

If you require any further information please do post here.

Look forward to seeing many of you again.

Windy :D

I'll be there. Accomodation booked at the Premier Inn. The hotel of choice for non motorhome owning phantomers!

I believe we have at least 3 other wooden boats at Alton so I hope some of them will turnout. ::)

The embryonic Phantom fleet at Walton On Naze are hoping to have an away day or two! Expect to see me, Geoff with his Phanny (1371) and Nick with his recently acquired 1042 (back at the club after a dive at Stone and brief ownership by Neil Fulcher! Hope there is less wind on the saturday than last year for training and more wind than last year on the sunday for the racing!

Hi Windy,

I think I have both the days arranged to be at AWSC although the Sat is a little vulnerable..... ??? Whatever happens I will be over in the Van for the sat night (Hannah has a group of old school girly friends staying over, of all bloody weekends after 14years leaving schools she invites them all over for that weekend !!! :-[ :-X :-[ :-X
(sorry clive) so a test for the new multi purpose van...!)
