Up River yc open,  2nd/3rd april, start 11.30,

race night evening function, with a chill or curry (or maybe both) meal, barrell of beer at a pound a pop, camping on site, dogs are no problem, food and drink available throughout the day

if anybody fancys coming on fri the bar is open and if you fancy it the local curry house is awesome.

Si, I seem to remember you brought your OK to the event last year!

Daren, perhaps we can have a team score?!  I can only do the Saturday. It says 12:30 start on Sunday on the URYC website.

ditch is off for this year simon, as doug said 'ditch,... how can i put it, its somewhere im glad i've been, but would be glad that i dont have to go again'.

Daren, it will be around 1200 earlyest, but weather depending i hope we will start down the river where it opens up (like sunday last year) if so it will be a twenty min sail to start

Notice of Race
Phantom Open Meeting
Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd April 2011

We will be sharing the race course with the National 12 fleet on both days.
The Open meeting will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).
Local SI will be available during registration.
Fees: £15.00, Cheques payable to UP River Yacht Club.
Saturday:
2 races back to back - start time 11.30am from the Clubhouse line by the slipway.
Breakfast: Bacon Rolls, Tea & Coffee will be available in the clubhouse from 8am and Lunch (with cakes) will be served approx. 2.30 (or directly after racing) at additional cost.

Evening:
Dinner will be served in the clubhouse from 5pm at additional cost.
Bar will be open from Lunchtime till late. Entertainment will be an infamous Up River YC Race Night.
Camping is available on site if you haven’t got a friend nearby, please let me know if you intend to camp.

Sunday:
2 races back to back – 12.00 start down river, committee boat start.
Allow 20min+ to get to start line depending on wind direction.

Breakfast: Bacon Rolls, Tea & Coffee will be available in the clubhouse from 8am and Lunch (with cakes) will be served approx. 3.30 (or directly after racing) at additional cost.

Prize giving:
As soon as possible after racing on Sunday (approx. 3.30pm)
Results: 4 races, 3 to count

Please let me know if you intend to come for the 2 days and if you will be eating at the club.

I hear that the Crouch Harbour Authority have been lifting unauthorised yellow racing marks this afternoon.  Any truth in the rumour that URYC has got some splendid new marks??

Hi Marcus,
Really sorry but not going to make it this weekend. Boat is repaired, but my right knee is not! Been swollen since last week, & still not right.
Having  done every Eastern event last year, I am really pi**ed off.
Have a great Open, hope to be mobile in time for Hunts.

Marcus, well done to URYC for another challenging event.   Good to see JJ show what his  new boat can do.  Matt looks on fire at the moment and I am thinking of taking early retirement if that's the effect on your sailing!   
Not happy with my own performance but there's always Hunts next weekend.  At least there won't be any tide....
