Shustoke Open is approaching on 8 th and 9th October, the last club Grand Prix event of the year. The schedule for the weekend has been set up to accommodate travelling Phantoms and to keep the club sailors happy as well! For those who have sailed with us before we are completely weed free, £40k investment in a weed boat has paid off!

Friday 7th October - club open for the afternoon and evening for any Phantom sailors who arrive early. There is plenty of camping / camper van space – please let us know if you are coming early. Bar will be open on Friday, food in local town or pub across the road. Sorry dogs not allowed on site – stipulation of our lease.

Saturday 8th
11.30 1st SSC club pursuit race as usual – Phantoms are welcome to take part for ‘familiarisation’
12.30 1st Phantom race 50 mins ish; lunch for club members
13.30 2nd club race 50 min handicap; lunch for Phantom sailors
14.30 2nd Phantom race 50 mins ish; then back to back
15.30 3rd Phantom race 

18.30 Evening dinner – Chilli £6 a head – followed by club quiz – Phantoms very welcome (north v south...), plenty of beer breaks!

10.30 4th Phantom race
11.30 5th Phantom race back to back
12.30 lunch
13.30 ish 6th Phantom race
15.30 Prize giving, head off.

There is no evening meal planned for the Friday night, but plenty of local ale. Saturday we have a club quiz night, so chilli at 6.30 then roll into quiz, bar open all the time.

Jim, I'll be making the trek from the far North. I'm planning to stay in Nottingham with friends Friday, but may give you a shout early evening if the parking is sketchy there and sort out dropping the boat on Friday night....

Thanks Jim and Shustoke for looking after us this weekend. And well done Nick. I'm struggling with this pond sailing but will master it soon with practice. This time next year Peter Shuttleworth will be sick of the sight of my transom !!

I'd echo Ivan's sentiments too, very well organised event and a very welcoming club. Thanks to all involved in organising, job very well done.
Looking forward to resuming our rivalry night year too Mr Walsh.....has certainly made this year fun. Titch will more than likely pip us both to the overall title but I've enjoyed our battle.

Does anyone have the full results at all? If so, could I have them to update the overall GP series standings before the Inlands.
