Boat Measurement
« on: May 19, 2010, 07:25:53 PM »

Phantoms must be measured to meet the rules. You should not sail in any event without it being measured.

Please note that plastic Phantom supplied by Vandercraft will be supplied with a class recognised Builders Certificate. This means that you do not have to have the hull measured. You do still have to have the spars and other bits and pieces measured including the weight limit.

The measurement form can be downloaded if you are a class member from the downloads area. If you are not currently a class member and are home building a boat then please contact the class secretary for further help regarding the forms.

It is the responsibility of the owner of the boat to get it measured. You need to contact a measurer to arrange a mutually acceptable time to get this carried out.

There is no guarantee that you will get it done by just turning up at an open meeting or championships. In fact most measurers will probably get annoyed as they are there to sail/socialise as well and will not have set aside time to do measuring without prior agreement. Measurers can be found via the committe page of the website or by contacting the class secretary.

Please make sure that you do get it measured and in time especially for major championships.

There is a cost involved to cover the adminstration and registration of the boat.
