Simon

At the dinghy exhibition we agreed to reserve the dates pending a venue being arranged more information will be supplied as it becomes available.

The main reason for getting the dates on the calendar was to ensure that no other meetings were booked over those dates.

Hope this Helps

 Cheers Andrew,

Would like to suggest Canac Yaucht Club, not to far to go, nice beach for the family, and in the reletive sheltered Bay of Quiberon,

Not totally related,
but from looking at the fixtures this year, just because the date is booked, it does not seem to mean that other events will not be arranged or advertised!! >:( >:( >:(

Thats why we are trying to exercise a greater control over the booking of events for next year!

Looks like the Europeans will be in Medemblik (If thats how you spell it?), Part of a bigger regatta ;)

Working on getting discount on ferry crossings and doubling up teams where we can ::)

More details to follow 8)

That's great news, I've been to Medemblik a few times in the OKs, it's a fantastic venue.
Sailing is always incredibly well run by top notch race teams, the town has lots of accommodation, good restuarants, great bars and an infamous nightclub (black&white club aka f*** & fight club!)
Holland is probably a natural place to pick up some Phantom recruits as they're all 7 feet tall!
Hopefullly lots will go, looking forward to it already
Cheers

Titch, thats not via Windy and at the same place as the Javelins is it? If so, I hear its an absolute blast of a regatta.

It will be a shared regatta, so it will have other sailors to compete with on the drinking front  :o

Bound to be a Blast if you come ;)

Awsome :o

Hi all,

I'm thinking about ferries and accomodation etc and wondering if anyone has any recent news about prices etc.  Do we still have enough commited entries?  We should all probably be commited for something or other.

What are others planning?  Answers on the forum please.....

We from Stone have booked the 11.45pm ferry on the Thursday with cabins and a return on the Sunday night again with cabins for a grand total of £1009.

Thats 2 cars and 2 double stacking trailers, 3 double and one single cabins (7 people) both ways.

Accomodation is being sorted by one of the other Stone massive, but i believe all the local hotels are booked so its a 10Km taxi and 60odd euros a night for a double room (iirc)

Hopefully its going ahead as the ferry is non-refundable!!!!!  ::)

Ferry is cheaper if you do the day crossing, but then its extra nights in the hotel so this negates most of the saving.

The only real issue is the ferry gets in at 745am on the Friday, but not sure what time the first race is, could be a bit tight  :)

Most of the OK boys go Dover Calais due to cost I think. They think it is approx 3.5 hours drive at the other end FYI.
