Its the 'Beastie' who is coming to tame it!
« on: March 11, 2010, 10:10:26 AM »

Looking forward to seeing you all at the Beastie this Sunday.

Forecast is looking great and hearing lots of interesting boats attending.

News just in, participating Phantoms should be recieving a sample of the sponsors ale!!!!!!!

What more excuse do you need to go sailing!!!!!  It should be on the list if things to experience before you expire and those that have done it will tell you the reasons why.

Come on fellas , make the effort and I am sure you will have a great time.

Cheers Simon.

Hi Simon

Yep, will be there. Looking forwards to it.

Trust the "sample" will be taken apres sailing. The ol' bladder isn't what it used to be and it is a three hour race. Or is this a cunning plan to have us all diving in for a "pit" stop mid race.
There's a thought, perhaps a manditory pit stop could be included into the SIs.

I'm coming along for the experience Simon.

Just for the record what is the start time?

Also worth mentioning is that the club don't seem to ever put any food on before the race. So bring some or you'll be very hungry. There is usually something afterwards but normally that is scoffed by the spectators. Drinks other than tea or coffee are in short supply too.

More top work Simon and about time too from Wimbleball. They have let the sailors down over the past 5-6 years. Might not make it after all, it depends on whether the missus gets better, looks like she's going down with flu. If it is that I will try to get the grumblies to looks after the kids and still come, but not confirmed.
Cheers

Sorry to hear that Ian.  I really hope that is not the case.  The flu decked me at Xmas. :(

If you could just drop the boat over I have many willing volunteers to sail it! ;)

Lets hope for the best. :)

Hi Simon- will be there.  Weather forecast doesn't provide any excuses and car now back in one piece so she who thinks she should be obeyed can use the garage.

The sponsor isn't providing Exmoor Beast by any chance? At 6.6% it could seriously affect the Phantom fleet's chances if imbibed before the race.

Unfortunatey the answer is yes Chris.  I am hoping at each event to be able to provide something different. Bit like a travelling beer festival!
Still not discussed so will have to see.

Cheers in more ways than one!
