Plan For Alton
« on: March 02, 2010, 12:04:52 PM »

Hi All

Just wondered what the plan was for the Alton weekend. What time are we starting on Saturday? Is there food on or do we need to bring our own?

What are the times for sunday? I am bringing down "Big Guy's" boat so he will be coming down early on Sunday morning.

Ive seen all the notes for accomodation so I should have no problem sorting that

You may have noticed the Peak Dinghy Van at the winters. We will be there again with the usual array of ropes and fittings, however if you want something more specific, drop me a note and I will bring it down

Cheers

Richard

Richard

Please see link for Alton Water some further details here:

http://www.altonwater.co.uk/index.php?pid=165

Simon Childs has agreed to some training on the Saturday and we have a couple of support boats etc. There is some catering at the centre see website. I have prizes all sorted. The pub is booked for a meal on Saturday evening (will take orders on Saturday morning). NOR and SI are on the link. It is possible that Tim Rush may come and give some words of wisdom but this is not confirmed.

I am suggesting meet at 10-10.30 Saturday morning. I hope to be down between 9-9.30am. ;D

I will post more details as they arise or post on here amd I will answer where I can.

Hi Chaps

Just wondering where we've booked for food on Sat eve?

There is the small matter of Ireland v Scotland at 5 and more importantly England v France at 7:45.

Discuss!

Have we any indication of the numbers that'll be attending over the weekend? I'll be there for sure  ;D

Will be great to meet more of the Phantom fleet and to learn lots from the 'Grand Masters'  ;) I'm still finding my feet with the Phantom so I'm truly looking forward to it.

Cheers

Good point! Windy was going to speak to the pub to see if they have/can provide a tv. Its on bbc so shouldn't be that difficult for them to organise, especially bearing in mind the cash we'll be spending on food and beer :)

Simon

I have booked the same pub as last year. As the 'Yotting Cod' is already known there, I didnt want him an his entourage to be caught by the paparazzi else where in Suffolk. ;D

Yes, I smell trouble....the equation goes like this...

(Beer x 8 / 1x Cava) + (Rugby + Phantom chums) = Tourets

I'm a reformed character .. honestly....
