Great weekend thanks guys, terrific turnout shows it is a great season opener. Really generous prizes for an open, thanks windy. Best bit is seeing Jez wearing this years Eastern series shirt in a "Canary" yellow colour. I must find him some green shorts to wear with it!
Cheers, James.

Windy

Thanks for a great start to the season.
Special mention to you, Simon and James for the training on Saturday.  As a suggestion for next year please can you ask Duncan Goodhew to come too as The Kitchen and myself would love some tips.....  Mind you at least I didn't squeal on my way in.....

Thanks

Ian

Windy and all at Alton,

Thank you for a great weekend.  Well done to everyone that made the effort and were rewarded with "challenging" conditions, hard competition but great fleet racing.

Thank goodness we're off again.....

Difficult to beat that turnout 32.... :D

Good to see everyone and all the new faces and some old ones returning, looks like the Eastern season if off and running  ;)

Well done to Windy and all at Alton (especially the kitchen crew) for a great weekend, very useful training on Saturday thanks to Simon, Windy, James and Dia and some interesting racing on Sunday.  A new mast foot has been ordered and hopefully here in time for Up River.

All

Many thanks to all of you that took the trouble to travel to Alton for the first event of the 2010 Eastern Series.

What can I say ? ::) a fantastic turnout of 33 phantoms over the weekend. Yes 33 thats equivalent to the RS300 Nationals and more than both the Blaze and 8.1 Nationals. (according to Y&Y)

Congratulations to Simon Cowood for winning the event.

See below an email from Alton Water and also a link to the results.

Ian

Thanks so much for organising the visitation of the Eastern Phantom's to AWSC this weekend. The results are now published on our web site here:

http://www.altonwater.co.uk/index.php?pid=167&series=116

I know that Gavin is going to prepare a post meeting report for us to learn from; so please don't hesitate to pass on feedback of any variety so that we can learn and improve further for future events.

It was a really lovely sight to watch a large Phantom fleet in action and I hope that despite the unkind wind conditions, the fleet will wish to return next year.....if not perhaps sooner!

Regards, Malc

I hope you all enjoyed the event and hope to see you all at Up River.

okay, so the theory of fifth place reporting doesn't seem to be working.  How about we revert to the home fleet or organiser at each club being responsible?
