Yes there will be ample free camping or motor home space.
The Alton Water will be open until 7pm for access to camping toilet etc.. however details on this will be posted as soon as details are cleared up.
Failing that I have ample space for boat parking within a 10 min ride of Alton.

Regards,

Nick

for anyone that doesn't fancy camping in March or have a luxury motorhome :) The Premier Travel Inn at Ipswich South is a good bet. £25/pp for a twin room and an all you can eat breakfast available. And only 5 mins drive from the Sailing Club.

Hi Little Monster

I will check out details with Alton this weekend and find out when dinghy park etc will be open. I think a number may be staying at the Premier Inn also called The Oyster Reach about 7 mins from the resevoir and few hundred yards off the A14.

The pub is booked for a meal on Saturday night, and last year we arranged taxi back to the accomodation, when we eventually got turned out of the pub. 4 Phantom sailers in a Daewoo Matiz was an experience. :o

See you at the winters.

important request for the pub on Sat eve... France v England KO 7.45pm (could be le crunch)

From past experience France v England on tv normally results in a lively social (Hickling 07 anyone?!)

Have the pub got a tv or can they sort one?

Jez, not sure if I am happy watching Rugger with you, your team always seem to "loose" when we watch together :D

Unless you are supporting France :o

That was football titch rugby is different.

We didn't lose in 07! Though a fair improvement from Rome is required if we are going to beat them this time.

Gentlemen,

Unfortunately I won't be attending Alton  :( My knee has completely had it and it looks as though I'm going to have to sell my pride and joy. I've been told it's not going to get better.
I'm sick that I'm having to leave this class before I had the chance to properly get into it. This Class and site/forum is brilliant and I'm sure is the envy of many other fleets.

Wishing all of you the very best
