Hull blistering
« on: June 22, 2008, 09:10:21 PM »

Hi all,

Currently sailing 957, a wooden self-drainer. She has a 2-pack finish on her hull and i've just noticed a significant amount of blistering of that finish on both sides around the bow area. This was about 2 weeks ago just after that spell of hot weather. The bungs were out but i'd left the hatch covers in place as a i was in a rush leaving the boat. The boat park sages suggest the lack of ventilation is the cause. Can anyone suggest a cause and cure?? I've also noticed the leak i've always had has worsened. How would i identify the location of said leak??

Thanks in advance
