Can I look at your woody?
« on: June 11, 2012, 11:05:44 PM »

Evening all,

So I'm off home from university in a couple of weeks and the job list for my ageing woody is nearing three sides of A4 :( Long story short I've got a hole to fill from the old self bailor, a cockpit stripped bare and sand blasted ready to waterproof, strengthen and (hopefully) fit a false floor into, two side decks and chain plates that need replacing, together with all of the associated fiddly bits that go with doing anything to a wooden boat.

I've got to design and fabricate everything myself with advice from my dad (he used to build dinghys but his hands have gone now, anyone else ever had Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?) so if anyone else has undetaken any jobs similar to this one, or you've got a nice shiny boat that's gone through a similar process, I'd be very grateful for any advice or pictures you can give. I'm sort of in at the deep end chaps so anything is very welcome.
