Removing epoxy primer
« on: August 21, 2011, 05:43:05 PM »

Afternoon all,

Just had the cockpit of my boat soft-shot blasted to get rid of the eons of paint the appear to have accumilated. The results are alright and got most of the paint off but there's still a troublesome layer of epoxy primer stuck to the top veneer that won't come off. I asked the blaster to give it a go and he basically had to take off the top veneer of the wood to get it bare again. Any thoughts on how to get round this problem? I'm pretty bored of sanding by now but I have a funny feeling that's the only alternative!

Cheers, Alex
