I've just taken delivery of Phantom 829. If there's any information about the boat anywhere I'd be really interested.
It's an ordinary deep cockpit woody right now but I'm looking to convert it to a self drainer before it sees any sailing. One interesting point about the boat is that it's fitted with a fixed forestay and some cort of adjustable tensioner below the forestay which seems to be there to induced mast bend about ten inches above the gooseneck. I'll be taking this off and fitting the boat with an adjustable forestay in the course of the boat's refit but if anyone has any knowledge about this kind of set up I'd be intrigued to know how long it's been since people used it and whether it was very effective!
