As even my wife knows as it is often shouted. Hike harder and use more kicker .

Hi Richard
Matt is correct about kicker and hiking, one thing not to forget is keeping the boat moving forward as if you stuff it to much the foils are not working for you. If you can go to an open meeting and watch how others sail.
How light winds are we talking about?
Go to the HD sails phantom page and whilst ignoring the 400lbs rig tension have a read of the rest it is a really useful guide to geting the boat going.
Good luck
Gordon

Hi Richard,
Good advice from Matt and Gordon, I would add that if you are trying to point against 2 sail newer boats and pinching that will push you sideways. Get speed up to point and sit a bit forward to keep flat one way, hike and dont over sheet to keep it flat the other way.
What area are you in ?

Thanks all for your reply I'm in North Wales Llandudno have been sailing in 10 to 15 mph.  Looking at pictures I have had the tack of the sail attached to the boom using the in and jaw just above gooseneck on boom instead of using a tack strap around mast

If I worry about pointing I go slow, If I worry about Fast, Flat and keeping the bow down I go fast and climb higher with the speed, then you can squeeze on some height. the boom should not be inside the inner deck line, flatter is better, kicker will allow you to let the boom out and not up in the puffs....

Hike then hike a bit more or like me eat pies and get the lard out!!!
