Who is going to Shoreham?
« on: May 18, 2017, 10:23:13 PM »

Hi All

So I'm planning on doing some surfing in Shoreham! Great venue and hospitality, who's going?

Ivan does a huge amount for the SW series and got it back on the map so would be great to support him and Steve who support our events. :-)

Ivan,

If people want we could run some "On Shore" boat tuning training.

Vic & I are planning on coming down, probably Friday night, The Sundance Bar will be open if the club is not!

Very good John, but I do need training on how not to try and combine them! I've often wondered what sailing would be like without feeling like sh1t  ;)

Campers and campervans are usually behind the club away from the bungalows so as not to disturb them to much. There is plenty of room.
I have sent preview to Clive and Y&Y and series results to Clive today, though had problem getting it in the email, I'm not good on computers.
Am looking forward to entertaining you all...

Hi all,
Just seen requests re training. Unfortunately we have an improvers event on Saturday and rescue boats will be in use all day so no chance of on water training. Classroom theory,  boat setup and a sail should be no problem...

I would say we can do some "Rabbit" starts to the "Invisible" mark and then some runs back down to get your gybing on the whistle upto speed. What we do need to do on the water is stick together so you get the most benefit from the session as we will all be "sailing"....

I'll bring my fid, you bring the string if you need anything "re-doing" as well....
