I'll confess to being an Eastern softie Steve!

Arriving late for the first race allowed me to assess the conditions accurately (effing gusty) and gave me the opportunity of a rapid decent onto the granite block work when assisting a returning Alex Dawson.  The bruising on my arse and hands was quite impressive.

Full respect to everyone that raced.  My favourite quote was from my club mate Eric Howe "this place is trying to kill me".

I'm already looking forward to our next Eastern event at Fishers Green.  Could all the Southern boys please give this a miss??

I haven't seen an IB report - my understanding is that the 5th placed boat does it ?

btw  at least 8 Phantoms are gathering to take part in our Easter Cup  2 races per day, free camping, tides are perfect, beers are on Tyler
