Yo!

Looking to come to this one although looks like I will have to bring the one that shops................

Are there any 'spa' type hotels in the area please? Otherwise could be a problem to sell it as I am working away and apparently we should see each other at weekends.

Also can anyone take my boat after Weymouth regatta to Lee please?

Hi All
Slow, best bet for the hotel is the holiday inn at Titchfield, and for shopping Gunwharf Portsmouth, this could badly effect your drinking vouchers.
Rich and Springer, the nearest campsite is kingfisher and my house is about half way.
B and B i will try and come up with a list later today. but West winds is closest.

Thinking of coming down, but the NOR states entries closed on 30th June - can I enter on the day?

How far is the Campsite away?

Long range forecast looks good 4-5's

I just looked at that entry form and nearly fell over, i have asked for the correct price as I think we have cut and pasted from the Osprey Nationals two weeks later.

Hi Gordon,  also keen to confirm that you will accept entries for Sunday only and what fee for such is?  At least 2 hoping to come down from Frensham for just the Sunday if possible.

Cool, weather check permitting on Friday night I will be there For both days.

What is the correct price? I thought it was OK since it said includes dinner and parking permits for 2 days. The cheaper the better though!

Hi Gordon,
I am 90% certain on heading down Saturday morning, and camping at the Kingfisher caravan park.  Can you confirm what time the first race will start?
Cheers

Gordon,
please can you confirm about the price and also the entry on the day, as I see its at the committees discretion, I don't want to come that far to find that they won't let me sign on.

Certainly if it is £44 (due to late entry) it looks a very high price but I suppose you are getting an evening meal & the council parking charges, etc so maybe in all had I bothered to look at the NoR and entered early it wouldn't be too much of a bad price. I'd probably pay individually no worries, just in one go it suddenly seems expensive.

I also note that the price on the NoR & the entry form don't tally either, the entry says £45. I do understand that there is a £6 charge per boat for parking on the lawn and is due to the council so not the clubs fault.

Its my own fault for not bothering to read the NoR, just assumed you could pay & play without it being that much.

Please let us know for definite please asap.

Hi All
following a restrained discussion in the club last night i can confirm the following.
1. no late entry fee so £38.00 including the 2 days car parking for the council and evening meal at the club.
2. should any body not require the evening meal a reduction of £5.00 now applies.
3. a one day entry fee is £20.00

i hope this sorts any questions if not post them pronto and i will do my best to sort this out.
deep joy club politics!!

On a lighter note.
Simon at the club sold his phantom and has bought a vareo, i will point him out to you so you can when overtaking point out the error of his ways and generally be helpful.
I will buy him a beer later to commiserate as he discovered the vareo is not a weight carrier so like me he is praying for wind.

Still going at the moment, but I looked and the forecast was for a bit more than 17mph on Weather online! Will check the forecast on Friday Night before final decision....

Will need to leave extra early due to the F1 traffic slap bang in my way, I believe there are road closures.
