Lee on Solent 9TH 10TH jULY
« on: April 04, 2011, 04:47:19 PM »

Hi Gents
It has been suggested on another subject that having 2 days at Lee is unpopular and people would prefer just the one day.
We are running the Vareo and Solution event over the 2 days anyway and would not be able to split our rescue cover to do a training day on Saturday and one day event on the Sunday.
We could run a separate prize for people who just do one day but to make this work you would all need to agree what day the one dayers want to do.
I intend to sail both days, clear air, waves sun drenched beach, exmoor gold on tap Saturday night. evening meal laid on.
I would have thought great practice for the Nationals.
Regards
Gordon

"clear air, waves, sun drenched beach, exmoor gold on tap Saturday night. evening meal laid on."

Sounds like a persuasive arguement to me.
Assuming the ol' constitution has recovered from Weymouth the previous weekend I should be up for both days.

Pete.

1 day would be easier for me to arrange a pass for and if a choice, then probably Sat is easier ...  but I will TRY and attend whatever it is laid on ..... one day or two.  It would be a shame to miss the opportunity of not maximising time on lumpy stuff with steady winds  ;D.   However, I do know at least two club mates who will struggle to get a two day pass but dont know if they will come onto this forum ... lets see who responds ....

Hi Gordon

I had thought I might try to do this and got it as a possible in the diary. As I would be travelling from Suffolk I would want to do 2 days to make it worth the fuel.  :o

Hi All
if you have any questions regarding Lee on Solent can i have them in the next week as i am away from Shoreham, until the 2nd July.
Saturday night is a Spanish themed night in the club but luckily no fancy dress required, so no maracas showing please!

Evening all,

I am hoping to attend the Lee on Solent event, can anyone recommend a convenient campsite or cheap guest house? Something within walking distance when one has lost the use of most of his faculties would be fab  ;D

Cheers,
